For my graduate course on Enterprise Architecture (EA), our final project was an Enterprise Architecture report for a real world company.
With the permission of corporate leadership, I wrote mine on the company where I was working as Technology Director. It allowed me to put my academic studies to good use and provide the company with insights into areas for improved efficiency and smoother operations between business units.
I took it as high praise when the professor told me that he thought my final paper was of sufficient quality to be published, and that I should consider submitting it for publication to a trade journal. Again, with the permission of corporate leadership, I went ahead and followed up on his suggestion, and was greatly honored when Enterprise Architecture Professional Journal accepted and published my paper!
The full report is twenty-nine pages (including appendices and references) and you can see it here. You can also go directly to the (one page) executive summary, here.
